Customs Clearance
Part of the process of exports and imports in Mexico, someone who provides support as a regulator of activities is required: a customs office.
A customs office is authorized by the SHCP to handle the clearance of merchandise on its own, as long as it is done in accordance with current customs regimes and in accordance with current customs legislation.
The functions or services of a customs office can go beyond just the export and import of merchandise, its main objective is to advise on foreign trade with expert information to prevent errors, reduce time and, above all, costs.
What responsibilities does a Customs Office have?
- Veracity and accuracy of the data and information declared in the petition.
- Determination of the customs regime of the goods and their correct tariff classification.
- To ensure that the importer or exporter has the documents that prove compliance with the other obligations that in terms of regulations and non-tariff restrictions apply to said merchandise in accordance with the provisions of the Customs Law and other applicable laws and provisions.

The Customs Office carries out the procedures according to the law and customs regime, the correct legalization of the merchandise depends on it, and therefore products that leave or enter the country without delay and complying with the fiscal standards and official regulations, avoiding that there are operations with discrepancies and weighed by a process of regularization.
